Board of Directors

The Topaz Museum Board became a non-profit 501 (c) 3 in 1996 after raising money to restore half of a recreation hall that had been used as an out building on a farm in Delta. Since then, the Board has puchased over 633 acres of the site, conducted teachers' workshops, held pilgrimages, and raised awareness of the history of Topaz. The Topaz site became a National Historic Landmark in 2007.

The Board consists of people committed to preserving the Topaz site and its history and constructing the Topaz Museum. They include: Jane Beckwith, Delta; Rick Okabe, Salt Lake City; Scott Bassett, Delta; Lorelei Draper, Delta; Teresa Thompson, Delta; Grace Oshita, Salt Lake City; Lance Atkinson, Delta; and Hisashi (Bill) Sugaya, San Francisco.
